With the arrival of summer, crowds of cities
Residents of the three swimming pools of Chennai city company have been moving straight forward.
In the Marina Beach swimming pool alone, the number of people swimming every day has increased from 300 to 2,000.
But as the company dramatically increases the entrance fee to the pool, users will soon sweat from £ 15 an hour to £ 50.
My Ladyes Park pool will be charged soon for the revised fee.
A new private contractor will be identified.
The cost of the Marina Beach pool is £ 50 per hour for adults and £ 30 per hour for children.
The revised rate is expected to apply to the new pool of Tiruvottiyur, which will be open this summer.
However, officials hope the number of pool users will only increase.
The Marina pool is open from 5 th. 30 a. m. to 7. 30 p. m.
It has 7 lifeguards and 3 coaches, 100 long.
Summer camp has been held in the swimming pool.
No summer camp is held at my Ladyes Park pool: The facility focuses on training vulnerable children.
The pool is open between 6. m. and 9 a. m. and from 4. 45 p. m. to 8 p. m.
Some special kids use the pool in my Ladyes Park.
Residents asked the company to exempt them from paying the revised fee.
At the request of the pool contractor, the contractor claimed to have suffered losses during Cyclone Vardah and floods in December 2015, and the company allowed them to earn revenue from advertising around the pool.
But it has now been put on hold.
275 space per pool allows advertising.
Civic groups require contractors to designate at least 50 m² of advertising space on civic issues.
Religious and political advertising is prohibited.
One reason the proposal was put on hold was the intervention of the Madras High Court.
Company officials said that if the offer to earn revenue from the ads starts to take effect, the pool entrance fee will be reduced.
